Dr. Jarmara Darcey was born and raised in San Antonio TEXAS and graduated Salutatorian from East Central HS.  She completed her Bachelor of Science degree with High Honors at the University of Texas at Austin and graduate Magna cum Laude. Dr. Darcey received her medical degree from the University of Texas medical Branch and Galveston and completed her residency training in OB/GYN at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock TX. As a medical student Dr. Darcey worked in the burn unit and reconstructive plastics wound clinic. As a resident and early physician, she developed a focus on post operative outcomes, healing and had a keen interest in caring for wound complications. In 2014 she became certified for wound care and hyperbaric medicine and has been captivated by the impact of being able to work with patients to get chronic wounds healed and often prevent amputation. “The field is growing and our cutting-edge technology is able to help more people in different areas each day.”
